I've been training for the Virginia Beach 1/2 marathon and it finally came and went this past weekend! I didn't go into the race with as much preparation as I wanted due to a crappy case of shin splints, but I was able to get past it and did well. I wasn't able to run the entire thing, but came close. I think with a little more training I'll be able to run it all next time.
For now I'm nursing my sore body back to health
