Hi Everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful holiday season! We are in Ohio for part of this month visiting friends and family. I love this time of year. We're only a month away from our move! We'll head back home after the new year and begin packing. Until then, enjoy some images I took this fall of the Ohio countryside.

These are images from the Grand Mayan hotel just off the Mayan Ruins. The site used to be a family home, in which they would take in the archaeologists studying the ruins. The hotel slowly grew as interest in Chichen Itza grew. The family still owns this hotel. You could feel that when you were in the hotel, that it was different than a hotel owned by a major hotel chain. I liked the quaint eclectic style. I wish I had taken more pictures of the inside to share with you.

While we were on our honeymoon we did an excursion to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. The site was about 3 hours inland, so it was a full day trip. It was a great experience though. Its hard to imagine that it was built around 600 AD.

Here are a few photos from our wonderful trip to Riviera Maya. It rained on us a little, but everything was still beautiful. We stayed at the Iberostar Hotel. I would definitely recommend it!
